  1. I just happened upon your blog yesterday and I want to say thank you for putting forth such a wonderful offering! I am fascinated by Harlem. I have lived in East Harlem for three years and have been at City College getting my MA for the past two, so I have been wandering around Harlem for a while now, gazing at the incredible buildings and trying to learn as much as I can about the history of these amazing neighborhoods. One day at The Strand,I happened upon a copy of Harlem Lost and Found, which provided plenty of starting points and I have been hooked ever since! Finding your blog is another great discovery. My dream is that someday my husband and I will be able to buy one of those gorgeous Harlem brownstones or row houses or a historic property in Hamilton Heights... Sigh. For now, I just like exploring. Thanks again! The pics are wonderful and your profiles of local establishments are really useful! You are providing a great resource for the community.

  2. Harlem Lost and Found was one of the first books we bought when moving into the neighborhood and is an essential read for all Harlemites. Harlem not only has lots to offer but has a history rich in beauty and culture that is one of the last secrets in Manhattan. Best of luck.
