  1. I just tried this place over the weekend... A few kinks need to be worked out with the service, but overall a fantastic place.

Hopefully the brunch menu will be offering more inexpensive options :)

  2. Also tried this place for the first time over the w/e and had a great time. Stroller, little fell and all. Very friendly staff and wow...the burger was sensational. Definitely lived up to the hype.

  4. Brunch is always a great way to try out a pricy restaurant for less. Definitely can't affording eating at this place every week but it's worth it for the special occasion and out of town visitors.

  5. This place is like a jekyll and hyde in the most extreme sense. The food has the potential and followthrough at times to be 5 star, but in the few visits I have been made it has swung the pendulium between 5 stars and 1 star. The service can at times be terrible. A friend ordered a martini at last visit and the glass was clearly visible covered in grease or dirt or something. How this passed the hands of the bartender and waitress to the table and then not have the drink at least comped is a service industry quandry. Another time, due to poor service between attention of the waitress and the duration of the firing of the food made our meal nearly an hour longer than it should have been, and some of the people at our table got their food 15 minutes behind the rest. On a igh note throughout all of these visits there has been some noteworthy highlights in the quality of the food. This place has potential, it just needs a really good floor manager and more consistency.

  6. For some reason there isn't much going on along this particular stretch of FDB...it just doesn't feel good. Perhaps 5 & Diamond should think of moving to a location along Lenox Ave which seems to be the hot spot. Also, the physical space leaves no room for growth.

    Great burgers!

  7. Move? We will be lucky if ryan skeen stays put and invests the time and effort to clear up the glitches identified in this string and keep a decent upscale restaurant in the neighborhood. Besides with social, and the speakeasy this part of the hood is starting to clean up.

  8. Well, the Bier International place is opening soon on 113th & FDB, so hopefully these places will all compliment each other and bring in extra business.

  9. I agree with everyone else. The service needs to be fixed. The staff was super friendly, but the food and drink timing is way way off.

Having said that, man, there is some good food here! The scallops are delicious!
