☞ EXERCISE: Unicycling at Grant's Tomb

Sunday, October 3rd, 1:00 PM-5:00 PM, Grants Tomb at West 122nd Street and Riverside Drive.  We ran into the New York Unicycle club's big festival last month and were really amazed at the different age groups and people that have taken up the sport. Ken Springle, who is one of the organizers (gentleman in the blue Unatics tee, 4th photo down), helped founded the club because there wasn't a meeting place for folks to share their interest.  The New York Times had a write up on them (after our write up) this past summer and the club looks like it's nicely increasing in size.  We first noticed a lot of hipster types showing up at these outings but as one can see from the photos above, it also has become a bit of a family event with kids of all ages participating alongside with adults of various learning levels.  The monthly group event is always a good show even if one does not decide to participate.
