☞ REVIVE: 306-308 West 116th Street Starts Up

A Crain's article back in November mentioned that a 14-unit building would be breaking ground at 116th Street just west of FDB/8th Avenue and it now looks like that lot has finally started construction (top photo).  This weekend saw the clearing out of the parcel of land sold to make way for a $5.3 million, new 8-story construction and excavation diggers were seen on site (top photo).  The lower photo was the original proposed sketch of the building for the land but it is unclear if the developers are actually using this  initially design.  Read more about this development in our past post: LINK

  1. Note the land sale itself was $1.2 million and the new development is set at $5.3 million.

  2. Although the initial design shown above appears fairly conservative, it's actually way more appealing than most of the new condo crap going on along FDB. This one has nice proportions with a good balance of masonry and glass.
