☞ INTRODUCING: The Brownstone Lounge

The building at 2647 FDB/8th Avenue and 141st Street was completely restored a couple of years ago but the fancy storefront seemed to have come along much later.  We noticed a bar had been set up inside the verdigris colored cast iron storefront earlier in the year but nothing has happened until now.  It now is evident that The Brownstone Lounge just opened up a couple of weeks ago and is in full swing at this upper FDB location. Check out the following photos:

A reader mentioned that they had seen the new signage up and the above photos of the new watering hole have been posted on the establishment's  Facebook site: LINK.  There does not appear to be a website up but the Facebook page has it that the bar is open from Tuesdays-Saturdays, 5:00 PM until 4:00 AM.  Some items on the grand opening menu included, Citrus Marinated Shrimp Cocktail, Meatball Sliders, Truffled Macaroni & Cheese and Miso Glazed Chicken Wings. Prices are from around the $10-$30 range.  Has anyone dropped by yet?

  2. Looks nice. Not digging the sign though. Definitely should have gone with something more natural to the look.

  5. I've been over here a couple times. The space is perfect, and the Friday / Saturday night crowd was nice. They have an outdoor area for cigarettes / cooling down. The music was spot on and .... to come... a huge dance floor / club downstairs in the cellar! Just what the doctor ordered.
