The awning was up this weekend on the wine shop that was under construction at 704 St. Nicholas Avenue and Unity Fine Wine & Liquor appears to be ready to open. As mentioned previously, a wine shop on this part of the hill just north of 145th Street would seem like a good fit but nothing of that nature has opened until now. There is not much to look at as far as the storefront is concerned but a peek of the interior reveals a pretty decent setup.
Yeah, I noticed this during the summer, not just because it is close to my place on the Hill , but that is was up so quickly !! I didn't get a chance to try it out ! I will do it on the next trip !
ReplyDeleteGreat new look! I went in the other day and they said that the wines and liquors will also be upgraded. As people make their tastes known to the owners, I am certain better wines and liquors will be stocked.
ReplyDeleteIt's been open a bit over a week and they have a fairly good selection of wines - though they are working to expand that. Also, I was told that they will be having wine tastings soon.

ReplyDeleteMy husband stopped by tonight to pick up some wine and spoke to the owners. Turns out it's the same shop that was a couple doors down - they just relocated and upgraded their space.
