☞ SHOP: Community Farm Share at Karrot

A group of Harlem Community Farm Share members is organizing a new late-fall C.S.A. over at Karrot health food store at West 117th Street, just west of FDB/8th Ave. Called Karrot C.S.A., the new site will forward Harlem Community Farm Share's mission and vision of getting more good veggies here in the neighborhood, and donate even more produce to the Food Bank.

Karrot C.S.A. Season length: Six weeks starting November 9 and continuing through December 21 (skipping the week of Thanksgiving). Pick-up day & time: Wednesdays from 4-7 p.m.

Shares offered:
* Half vegetable share for $105 (4-9 certified organic veggies per week, same as the Farm Share's "full share")
* Full vegetable share for $168 (7-12 certified organic veggies per week, same as the Farm Share's "pantry share")
* Egg share for $24 (one dozen certified organic eggs per week)

Farmers: Lancaster Farm Fresh Cooperative (the Farm Share's farmers), a cooperative of 75 or so mostly Amish family farms based in Lancaster County, Pa.

To sign up & pay: The application process is completely online, and you submit your payment directly to the co-op with a credit card via Pay Pal OR check or money order via mail. To sign up, follow the link on Karrot C.S.A.'s new webpage: www.karrot-csa.com. AND DO IT FAST: The co-op must have 60 confirmed sign-ups by this Friday, October 21, in order to make the new C.S.A. a reality. Each half-share sign-up counts as 1 and each full-share sign-up counts as 2 toward the 60 minimum, so get as many veggies as you can handle!
