☞ INTRODUCING: Lenox Coffee Opens

We received news that the new Lenox Coffee shop just opened this weekend on 129th Street and were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the establishment upon visiting the shop just east of Lenox Avenue. The interior has that vintage, antique coffeehouse look with reclaimed wood floors, a large leather couch, exposed brick walls, a bronze tin ceiling, filament lightbulb sconces and schoolhouse pendant lights.  Not shown are the side tables against the opposite wall which where already basically full of customers.  Baked pastries and even what could be Harlem's best bet for a better bagel can be found at the counter alongside the friendly and charming proprietor.

Unlike the now shuttered Perle Noire cafe that was a couple of blocks north of this new establishment, Lenox Coffee feels like a place one would sit around for some time and have friends drop by to hang out. This is exactly what Central Harlem has been waiting for as far as a classic place to have coffee so skip the Starbucks on 125th Street and head up 4 blocks north to check it out.
