☞ INTRODUCING: Maison Harlem is Now Open

Maison Harlem at 341 St. Nicholas Avenue had their official soft opening last night and is open for business as of this weekend.  From what we have seen, this new French eatery at the corner of 127th Street has one of the most charming interiors to be found in Harlem so drop by with a date if you want to impress someone.  Dinner service starts at 6:00PM this weekend and the website will be up soon with further updates (click on lower menu to enlarge). Keep in touch with Maison Harlem on the bistro's official Facebook site: LINK

  4. Bravo, a cozy space that is big on charm and character. Creativity and attention to detail every where you look. The bar area seems almost taller than it is wide with its wooden planked ceiling and built in clocks behind the bar creating a unique space. A great addition to Harlem.

  5. Will definitely check it out.

Interestingly, one of the first Yelp comments (there appear to be two Harlem Maison pages with 1 review each) notes some fairly expensive prices for the area. (Most appetizers 10+, entrees $20-$30). Hope they're not being overly ambitious.

  6. The menu has been added to the post. Prices ranges are mostly below $20 but a handful of entrees are in the mid $20s. Looks about right for the quality and look of the establishment. Click to enlarge

  8. It would be nice if it was a bit cheaper, but I don't think you can complain about those prices in NYC. They're very middle of the road.

You have to sell a lot of $23 hanger steaks to pay for what must have been a very expensive renovation.

  9. This menu is very reasonable. Consider that their rent is probably very inexpensive. Hope this place is a success!

  10. Went with my date there on Friday night... I thought the food was all very tasty, the decor just awesome, the one-block commute from my apartment the key selling point. My only complaint was the prices were only so-so.... I thought especially the desserts were pricey, and the $12.50 for what turned out to be a small appetizer salad.
