☞ DWELL: 30 West 120th Street in Contract

It took a couple of years for the former home of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar at 30 West 120th Street to sell at $2.5 million but a $2.895 million asking price listed just a month ago now has the house in contract. This single-family brownstone just exchanged hands last year and has one of the most high end, contextual renovations to be seen in Harlem.  The 18-foot-wide townhouse is not quite the golden 20-footer but has a great park view and is in a notable location adjacent to the Mount Morris Park Historic District. This may be one of those cases that the broker has set the asking on the lower side to get higher bids started so it will be interesting to see if the $3 million mark will be reached with this property.
