☞ EAT: Turkish Restaurant Arriving at 2280 FDB

More Harlem news in the papers has announced that a popular Turkish restaurant from the Upper West Side will be opening at 2280 FDB.  The luxury development at 123rd Street has not had a tenant placed in its commercial space since it finished construction and now the New York Post announces that Savann will be opening a 2,500-square-foot eatery with reasonable prices in one of the storefronts.  Read more details in the Post: LINK

  1. Great news - this seems to have the right basic idea: good prices, a bar, food that's not available yet in the area. Let's hope they nail the decor because that is always the key .. anybody remember the UWS location?

  2. I ate there about 7 years ago with my girlfriend (now wife) - it was pretty good but honestly don't remember the specifics of the food, but do remember it being a very fun, enjoyable night. So hopefully they can bring the same vibe and enjoyment Uptown.

  5. I am really curious by what you mean by that pignoli...? I am Turkish living in Harlem for the last 4 years and Turkish food is virtually non-existent here. My peeps are too uptight to live above 96th Street

  7. I know the guy who owns this restaurant and have eaten in his restaurant on UWS years ago. He has great food. I own a building couple blocks down and it makes me very happy to see that all these businesses are opening up here. Best of luck to him.
