☞ REMEMBER: 144th and Convent circa 1905

A photo taken in 1905 shows the historic Hamilton Heights block on the corner of 144th and Convent Avenue when things were pretty new.  One can see in the current photo taken this month that the landmark district still looks the same today except for one of the conical roofs that have been removed from the north side of the street.
