INTRODUCING: RAMPS AT THE FARMERS MARKET

The first farmers market of the season this past weekend had one of the local vendors selling ramps for $4 a bundle and it appears that more specialty food items are being introduced to the location at 110th Street by Manhattan Avenue.  Most of the other smaller markets uptown have the standard seasonal farm vegetables but the one at Morningside Park has become more sophisticated over the years.  There was also a new Japanese vendor selling specialty dressings and a champagne kombucha fermented tea merchant on hand.  We actually were excited about a savory yogurt stand that was scheduled for the day but could not find that table on this first trip.  More details on the Morningside Farmers Market can be found on the official website which has the full list of food offerings: LINK
