INTRODUCING: ITALIAN ARRIVING ON 7TH & 135th

Several years back it was lower FDB that started happening, then Lenox Avenue and in 2014 Hamilton Heights.  So what's next as far as the future hot restaurant hub in Harlem?  Adam Clayton Powell Blvd/7th Avenue around 135th Street is on our radar these days.  A Bespoke reader sent in the above photo of an Italian eatery that will open up between 135th and 136th Street on the west side of 7th Avenue.  Years ago, Shrine and Yatenga set up a great business just south of the notable cross street but nothing much has come along since then that has stuck.  In 2014, Ponty Bistro open its doors and Hycinth's Haven soon after.  This is probably our favorite section of 7th Avenue uptown since most the history in the buildings are all still intact and the landmark Strivers Row is nearby.

  1. Great news! Is that old B Oyama shop? Glad to see some of the many empty storefronts on ACP finally getting some love!
