REMEMBER: A SNOWSTORM ON LENOX CIRCA 1910

A photo from circa 1910 shows what 15 inches of snow looked like on Lenox Avenue over a hundred years ago.  This must have been the following day since the streetcars appear to running and massive mountains of snow can be seen lining the streets.  This vantage point is actually looking north towards 126th Street and the supermarket called Park & Tilford used to be on that corner.  This today is the same building that Red Rooster is located within and the block pretty much is still intact.  Check out our past post to get more on the history of this particular block:  LINK
