For a renovated townhouse at the $2 million price point, Number 519 West 148th Street might just be the right fit for one with a decorative eye.  This 3-family residence just west of Amsterdam has been updated with modern conveniences but the interior is definitely more bland than the higher end brownstones on the market.  Adding in prewar details such as substantial mouldings and contextual bath and kitchen details (more Restoration Hardware and less Home Depot) could make this townhouse more than a home with technical upgrades.  We like the intact architecture of the immediate  neighborhood and the express train entrance at 147th is just about 2 blocks east.
