SHOP: ORIGINAL RED ROOSTER SPACE FOR RENT

The original Red Rooster speakeasy was by the corner of 138th and 7th Avenue and is still up for rent once more.  This modest storefront had been the home of the iconic local hangout that would eventually inspire Chef Marcus Samuelsson to open his first restaurant on Lenox Avenue back in 2010.   We had seen activity at the shop in the past year or so but apparently it was all just to gut the interior.  Harlem has so many famous addresses going back to the Renaissance years and it would be really cool to come up something here that connects the past and future.
