REVIVE: WINDOWS INSTALLED AT PS 186 ON 145TH

Renovations on the abandoned PS 186 school building started about a year ago and now it looks like some progress has been made.  For the past few months, the construction crew have removed the forest of trees that had grown on the site for the past couple of decades and have been gutting the vast interior so that that affordable housing units can be finally built.  We walked by this week and noticed that the windows are currently being installed and this pretty much means the facade has been restored except for the cornice. At this rate, 2016 should be a big year for the adaptive reuse project that has been in the making for quite some time now.  See what the building looked like before in our past post: LINK

  1. This would be ideal space for artist live/work.

Are there any plans for that?
