DWELL: 63 WEST 130TH SOLD LOWER

The huge vacant building within the Astor Row block at 63 West 130th Street was up on the market last year for $2.2 million and records now show that the final closing price was eventually $1.85 million according to Streeteasy.  Walking by the stalled construction site this past weekend, we saw that new plywood has been added to cover the once exposed windows but construction does not really look like it will be happening anytime soon.  This SRO is missing important certificates so it is unclear if work will begin since the DOB website does not have any current paperwork listed.  With its mansard roof and 20-foot-wide dimensions, this townhouse appears have set the record for a shell sale in Harlem but will the handsome home finally be restored?
