REMEMBER: ALONG THE AVENUE CIRCA 1905

Who can guess the vantage point of this photo taken on one of Central Harlem's main avenues circa 1905?  The  two corner building still stand today and pretty much look the same so those who know the neighborhood pretty well should be able to figure this one out.   An updated photo will be posted later on in the day.

ANSWER:  This address is on Adam Clayton Powell looking east at 129th Street.  The blocks just north of 125th Street on 7th Avenue are not the most intact as far as the main boulevard goes so these corner tenements really are distinguishable if  one pays attention to the cornice details.  Archival image courtesy the Museum of the City of New York

These two buildings are on the north and south corners of 129th Street at Adam C. Powell, Jr. Blvd. (7th Ave)
