DWELL: 469 WEST 143RD STREET TOWNHOUSE

The long-abandoned townhouse at 469 West 143rd Street had been purchased last year and now has arrived on the market for $4.795 million after a major gut renovation.  This reportedly 18-foot-wide limestone building appears to be the work of a local developer who has been restoring brownstones in the area with higher end finishes along with modern upgrades but still keeping moldings and fireplaces in place. There is also the desirable single-family layout and the location within the Hamilton Heights historic district is also a short walk to the express trains on 145th Street.  Our only minor callout is that ceiling details such as medallions for the chandeliers or crown moldings are noticeably neglected but overall everything looks really on point.  More details on the broker site: LINK
