ARCHITECTURE: FACADES AT 371-373 MANHATTAN

Rendering for the new facades at 271-273 Manhattan Avenue could not be found online but it now looks like a restoration of the original architecture might be at hand.  Many might remember that this was a church for some time which combined two buildings into one bland entity but now the current owner has other plans.  All of the brickwork had been removed in the past year or so and the new details that can be seen under the scaffolding mirror the original design designs that the neighboring homes still have intact.   From what we can see thus far, this renovation just south of 116th could be the best of 2017 if all goes well.

Check out what the formerly altered buildings looked like in our past post from 2011: LINK
