Harlem Bespoke: The neighborhood of Manhattanville by the 125th Street 1 train station has been changing over the years with the new arrival of the Columbia University campus just a block north and we just noticed a fruit stand that has now made a home on the once quiet corner. Starbucks just opened up at this location so the intersection that also faces public housing to the east has suddenly attracted more commercial interest. A bag of bananas actually cost just a little over a dollar from the outdoor merchant which is a big savings compared to just receiving one piece of the same fruit for the same amount at the chain coffee shop next door.
