INTRODUCING: PEACHES ON ASTOR ROW 2017

Harlem Bespoke:  The landmark houses of Astor Row on 130th Street not only are reminiscent of country homes but the bucolic sentiment is also apparent at some of the verdant front yards.  These wood porch-front homes were originally founded by a member of the famous Astor family back in the 1800s and the aesthetic was more of rural nature.  Nowadays, peach trees add to this ambiance and we noticed one particular plant with ripe fruit when walking by this past weekend.  This is such a rare site in the city and always a pleasant surprise when the mini arbors are in season.  More on Astor row can be found in our past post: LINK

  1. Cool. I wonder if the peaches are edible, considering the soil.
