BESPOKE: GLASS BALCONIES AT 110TH STREET

Harlem Bespoke:  A tip came in that the two brutalist residential buildings on the east corner of Central Park North appear to be going through a bit of an update.  Those looking closely at the photos will noticed that the left hand tower still has the original concrete balconies at this point in time but the right one now has brand new glass replacements.  Some of the architecture from 1970s can be rather heavy handed but apparently can be salvaged to some extent.  This also brings to mind the recent renovations of the State Office Building on 125th Street which had the disco era copper colored windows but have since been replaced with standard glass in the past few years.
