ARCHITECTURE: COPPER PATINA AT CORN EXCHANGE

Harlem Bespoke:  The above photo was taken the day that restored facade of the Corn Exchange building on 125th Street was revealed back in 2015 but things are starting to look slightly different these days.  Old photos of the original building by Park Avenue shows that all of the copper details had a green patina to them but the newly installed design elements had the shiny, fiery metallic hue to them 3 years ago.
We took the second photo today and the familiar bronze penny color can be seen on those aforementioned structures.  A mint green surface might come about in the next year of so but the process will be very slow and gradual.  With that said, hopefully the commercial and office space in the local landmark will also turn around soon not much has been happening on that front.  More on the Corn Exchange Building can be found in our past post: LINK
