REMEMBER: AN HOMAGE TO THE VANDERZEE STUDIO

Harlem Bespoke:  The former James Vanderzee photo studio address had an awning recently installed that pays homage to the historic site.  This brownstone commercial space located between 123rd and 124th Street in the Mount Morris Park Historic District was the home and workspace for the famous African-American photographer up until the late 60s and more recently has become the offices for Harlem Lofts.  Since the original painted signage is still up on facade, the local real estate company decided to make a replica of the former awning but incorporating the business logos for the update.  Check out this old photo to see what everything looked like in the past: LINK
