BEST OF 2018: BEST NEW COFFEE SHOP

Harlem Bespoke:  Heading towards the last few weeks of 2018, HB will be reviewing some of the best Harlem has to offer for the year.  There has been a slowdown this year in new openings but some establishments did shine with overall concept, design, quality of offerings and service.  First up is Best Coffee Shop 2018:

Coffee shops are more popular than ever in upper Manhattan with Shuteye, Monkey Cup, Bean & Barley, Forever Coffee, and Uptown Garrison making a great impression this year. With all that said, Common Good at the corner of 149th and FDB did a stellar job in Central Harlem with high  ceilings and a unique corner space that brings in a lot of light.  Warm, classic furnishings presented in a contemporary fashion and just a great cup of joe brings in loyal locals everyday.  As rents get pricier further down south, we expect the more northern blocks in the neighborhood to really be attractive for startups in the next year.  For more on Common Good, check out the full review in our original post: LINK
