Harlem Bespoke: Fallas at 101 West 116th Street seemed to have been going out of businesses for years but now it appears that the corner retails space is available to rent. This location is ideal because it is right in front of the express train entrance at Lenox and close to the Mount Morris Park Historic District. A supermarket, drugstore and bank are all nearby so something different would need to arrive. Any suggestions? For an archival photo of this building, check out our past post:

Yes, 116th and Lenox (Harlem World) would be the perfect location for an event space. Harlem has enough restaurants and small coffee shops, and clothing stores. Although, affordable housing is ALWAYS needed. That location wouldn’t be ideal.
ReplyDeleteAn event space where people can host wedding receptions, bridal parties as well as showers etc....would be ideal.
Another idea could be a dance studio. So many Harlemites are suffering from ailments which many can be treated with simple consistent body movement.
Well, those are just some suggestions and my two cents.
