ARCHITECTURE: 54-62 WEST 125TH STREET REVEALED

Harlem Bespoke: The group of abandoned buildings at 54-62 West 125th Street located just east of Lenox had been sold off about a year ago for $26.5 million and had been quickly demolished.  We took the lower photo of the fully razed site in December and now construction has already started for the massive new residential development.
Groundbreaking has already happened for the 17-story complex and renderings posted on the plywood out front show the full scale of the work.  There will be storefronts on the ground floor and DOB permits reveal that 141 apartments will be available on the upper levels.  Those who want to imagine the proportion of this building in relationship to 125th Street should just look across the street since the office building of the Clinton Foundation is just a bit shorter at 14-stories in height: LINK
