EAT: DINOSAUR BAR-B-QUE SUMMER 2019

Harlem Bespoke:  Summer and BBQ go hand-in-hand and the best to be found in the city is on the far west side of 125th Street by 125th Street.  This location of the popular upstate New York restaurant has been in Harlem for over a decade now and was temporarily shut down this past winter because of a smoke pit fire.  Luckily everything was up and running by early spring and those on staycation should check out this local legend which offers up great ribs or brisket along with the most spectacular chicken wings that we have ever tried. Sides like mac and cheese, collards, cole slaw and cornbread are surprisingly good also but the Syracuse Salt Potatoes are another interesting option with a nice kick.

Come early during opening hours or the wait can be quite long and the service has been getting spotty when things have been really crowded.  The Ki Smith Gallery also opened next door this year and folks who have made it this far over should also take a stroll along the West Harlem Piers which are just around the corner.   More on Ki Smith can be found in our past post: LINK
