ART: ALL POWER TO ALL PEOPLE ON 110TH STREET

Harlem Bespoke: Those walking on Central Park North might have noticed a large hair pick at the corner of 5th Avenue and wonder what the artwork is about.  Artist Hank Willis Thomas created the striking metal imagery called All Power to All People in symbolic black with a rising fist as a handle and a peace symbol cut out below.  This afro pick is a bold representation of 6,000 years of a culture and embodies multitude of meanings through various eras. Check out the sculpture up until July 7th, 2019 of this year and make sure to drop by Teranga next door for a quick bite while visiting.  More details can be found on the Africa Center's official site: LINK
