SEE: ARCHIVES, VISIONS AND PREMONITIONS

January 17th-February 28th,  Archivos, Visiones Y Premoniciones, at Taller Boricua Gallery, 1680 Lexington Avenue, between 105th and 106th streets.  Archivos, Visiones Y Premoniciones highlights the intersection between documentation and creative expression in Puerto Rican visual arts. These works tackle themes that go beyond an island narrative, assimilating to a global context of uncertainty and climate change that try to bring together the interpretation of the reality that the artist expresses through an image. These images generate a personal expressive discourse that represents humanity and angst through different scenarios that they create or document.  More information on East Harlem's Taller Boricua can be found on the organization site: LINK
