This was durring 80's and 90's. I think many folks new to the area would be shocked at how much of Harlem was like this, or vaccant lots. I remember there was this one corner off Marcus Garvey park. There was a brownstone shell with half of the facade missing. You could see right into the building, well the frame of the building, the beams and floor boards with trees and plants growing inside. I remember they renovated that block eventually.
