But appears you have to be in the know. His event was the only event happening that night. Otherwise the building was silent. Great ballrooms still exist there. But appears like Harlem doesn't do ballrooms anymore. It...I would like to know more about this building. It appears that it was a multi-purpose building, e.g., entertainment space, residential space & commercial. My grandfather told me that in the late 30's and 40's the entertainment space was restricted. I've heard that also from other old school Harlemites.
