☞ EAT: Amor Cubano

For those looking for the authentic Cuban sandwich with fried plantains, East Harlem's Amor Cubano may be the answer.  According to one notable local chef, the Cuban eatery at 2018 3rd Avenue  (between 110th & 111th Street) is the place to go uptown when looking for the real deal: LINK.  While Floridita in Manhattanville is looking for a new location, folks might want to hop on the 4,6 train and get out at the 110th Street stop for some authentic eats.  www.AmorCubanoRestaurant.com

  1. Though the food is pretty authentic to Cuban recipes, the quality
is questionable at times. Try to go there when they are not busy.
They tend to get a little lazy when the bands are playing because
the drinks are flowing and they assume people won't care for the
quality of the food since they're buzzed and having a good time.
