☞ EAT: Floridita Signs Lease for New Location

The Columbia Spectator reports that the Manhattanville Cuban restaurant Floridita will indeed open again.  After shutting down this past April and various disputes with terminating the current lease to make way for the new Manhattaville campus, the restaurant that has been a neighborhood fixture for over 40 years has signed a lease somewhere along 125th Street.  Since they probably want to have it remain in the neighborhood, we are guessing that the newly renovated commercial space at the corner of Old Broadway and 565 West 125th Street (lower photo) is a good bet for the new spot.  Read more details in the Spectator: LINK.

  1. Does anybody remember if the old Floridita served authentic
Cuban food or was it a fusion of different types of Spanish origins?
