There are no permits on the DOB files yet but additional drilling was seen at the site of the proposed Harlem Hyatt at Lenox and 125th Street this morning. Reports went out last month that Emmitt Smith's $80.6 million hotel was in jeopardy of losing government backing if the project doesn't break ground by the end of December:
LINK. There was some soil sample testing last August at the 100 West 125th Street site and today's excavations look like more of the same:
LINK. We are not overly optimistic about this one since the government has already started reviewing other projects to hand out the subsidies to but maybe Mr. Smith and crew can get the permits up and going in the next couple of weeks? Any tips out there?
