An old photo from 1895 shows what used to be a unique structure that once spanned over Trinity Cemetery at Harlem's north borders. We have seen only a couple of photos in the past of the distinct suspension bridge that crossed over Broadway at Trinity's location in the West 150s and the above image shows the impressive feet of engineering. What's not seen is that a close-up would reveal intricate cast iron and stone detailing which would have been standard to most stately public structures of the time. The bridge that linked the two sections of the cemetery was built sometimes in 1872 and would be dismantled by the early 20th century.

The bridge apparently was taken down in 1913.
