☞ REMEMBER: The Consolidated Gas Company

A photo from 1920 provides a view on what the latest electrical modern appliances looked like during that time period. This showrooms location was at East 114th Street at 3rd Avenue and shoppers could check out the latest light fixtures alone with the gas stove models that were currently available.  Housing projects line both sides of the avenue today at this section of East Harlem and thus the building in the photo no longer exists.

  2. Yes a New York and USA that has fast disappeared!! We used to make stuff and people did not mind paying for good stuff now most people want things for 10c and then they wonder why there are no jobs!!

    We need to get back to this and soon!!
