☞ EAT: What's Up with 5 & Diamond?

There have been reports that 5 & Diamond on the lower FDB corridor has been closed a couple of days this past week and a Bespoke reader was curious to what was actually going on at the eatery.  5 & Diamond opened up with much fanfare a couple of years back and appears to have been doing well even at the higher price range it was offering.  We have not swung by this weekend yet so does anyone know if the restaurant at 112th Street will soon open again?

  3. It's definitely open - heard from one of the staff it was some sort of plumbing work - They are still serving up their incredible Mac & cheese in 4 varieties - amazingly cheap, too!
    And Chef David Martinez is doing the absolutly best roasted pork tenderloin with apple smoked bacon on a bed of sweet corn, maushrooms & figs.
    Pig has never been treated better.

    The brunch scene is one of the hottest in town - don't know if its the great cocktails or the fab food but it has a very hip Left Bank vibe
