☞ INTRODUCING: Corner Social Outdoor Seating
The new name Corner Bistro Social is beginning to make a lot more sense now since we received a press release that revealed that the outdoor seating of the former Lenox Social will be the first in Harlem that will wrap around the corner. This will definitely compliment the wide sidewalks that Lenox Avenue is known for and will be the first of its kind on the West Side of the street.

Isn't it "Corner Social" rather than "Corner Bistro". I do love "Corner Bistro", too, but that's downtown.
ReplyDeleteOutdoor seating wrapping around the corner will make a positive statement on this little block that was neglected for so long. Agreed Ulysses, the wide sidewalks of Lenox Avenue are beginning to be graced on both sides with alfresco dining.
ReplyDeleteCorner Bistro......that would be another lawsuit ...
ReplyDeleteits Corner Social.
which for some reason doesn't sound great. and is hard to remember.
that said, the place is beautiful . best of luck
Man, they give in too easily for Lenox Social. Simple as that.
ReplyDeleteI would have gone with "Social 126" but that is just me. The name doesn't really matter if the decor, menu offerings, and food/drinks are well done. We know they have the decor right. Hopefully the rest follows!
ReplyDeleteI like The Corner Social, better even than Lenox Social.
ReplyDeleteabout that wide avenue - while walking home yesterday I was dreaming of those median strip being planted will full gardens, like Park Ave. Can you imagine? A long way off, I would think, but the potential is there. Not many avenues have that.
ReplyDeleteAgreed that maybe they gave up too easily on the original name - it had such a good ring to it. Perhaps some insecurity on Lenox Lounge's part, (maybe b/c CS's service is one million times better than LL). I like the "Social 126" idea above, or even just "The Social". But what's done is done, and their stellar venue will survive no matter the name.
