☞ REMEMBER: 125th and Broadway circa 1910

A photo from 1910 shows the west side of Broadway and what was then considered 125th Street.  Today the small side street in Manhattanville has been named La Salle Street and 125th Street is now two blocks up north at a diagonal trajectory on the city grid.  One can also see what the buildings looked like with their original cornices and storefronts from the archival image. Another interesting point to note is that the corner windows of the building in the forefront were blocked up originally for some reason.
