☞ SHOP: Larry's Freewheeling Opens

Larry's Freewheeling opened up its doors this past weekend at 301 West 110th Street on the corner of FDB /8th Avenue at the Towers on the Park condo's retail space. Larry is famously known in Manhattan as the “Larry” from “Larry & Jeff’s Freewheeling Cycles.” They had 2 stores on the upper east side in the East 80’s and closed when Larry went into retirement. However, due to popular demand from his customers, Larry has now come out of retirement and opened his own store in Harlem.

The new shop sells road, hybrid, folding, mountain and children's bicycles alongside many accessories. Services are also available which include repairs, consultation, bicycle assembly and rentals.

  1. Hope they and ModSquad are both able to make it - two identical specialty businesses a 5 minute walk (1 minute ride!) apart seems a bit risky to me.

  2. Stopped by there today. Very helpful staff, especially with this newbie road cyclist. They were able to make some quick adjustments and get me on my way. Will be going there for a tune up soon .

  3. Larry is a New York cycling institution. His skill at helping a rider, new or old, get set up right is second only to his committment to outstanding customer service. I have been a loyal customer for 18 years and will continue to be as long Larry resists retirement!
