This weekend saw the official soft opening of Frederick's Cafe at the corner of West 114th Street on FDB/8th Avenue. The old Society Coffee space now has a clean, modern look to it thanks to the folks who opened the popular Bier International (which is just across the street) and apparently has a limited choice of offerings at this point in time. Has anyone dropped by yet?
Good to see the cafe is named after Frederick Douglass, saying Harlem without saying Harlem. Can’t wait to try the coffee, I wish them success.
