Fleet week has started for 2012 so we took a look back in 1939 at a photo of a couple of sailors hanging out at a restaurant in Central Harlem. The archival image has the location as 7th Avenue at 143rd Street and the two visiting sailors appear to be hanging out at a local diner that used to be situated at that particular storefront. This eatery apparently was called Gray Shop No. 2 based on the signage and the awning.
