☞ EAT: Sarku Japan Opens on 125th Street

Sarku Japan has opened on 125th Street between ACP/7th Avenue and Lenox.  Construction started back in September and the nations largest fast food sushi chain has now arrived in Harlem.  There were already lines inside during lunch time today so the 125th Street corridor appears to be a good fit for this affordable Japanese option.

  1. Did the people read the Fish Report that said most of the fish ordered at Susi Bars are mislabeled and you are not getting what you ordered.

  4. More choice for Harlem, good to see diversity on 125th.

  5. I too saw the lines forming rather quickly. Even before they started accepting credit/debit cards the place was packed. I tried some of the sushi. It was decent for fast food place. I don't think the long lines speak to the GREAT quality of the food but more so to the great need for diversity of eating establishments along 125 st. Hopefully this will cause Golden Krust and the fried fish/hotdog spot to up their game a bit with some new blood bringing competition. And with the future red lobster site picking up steam with construction as well as the future crabshack site coming at a super pace it's gonna interesting next year.

  6. Just ate there after reading this post. Very disappointing. It is on par with bad Chinese take out. The teriyaki chicken was overcooked and over seasoned, despite being their top menu item. Come on people. It's not a requirement that the food be poorly prepared simply because it is inexpensive! Pay attention!
