A charming old storefront at Tiemann Place in Manhattanvile now has paper up its windows and apparently a sushi shop will be opening soon. This area of West Harlem just south of 125th Street by Broadway has seen a successful
ramen-ya open up in 2012 and the same clientele would probably be interested in a better sushi option for the area. There a few chinese-run sushi options around the Morningside Heights neighborhood just further south but nothing worth recommending has opened as of yet. Sushi appears to be the trending offering uptown these days and the standard has been set higher since Jado has opened on FDB:
