☞ EAT: Silvana Arriving on 116th Street

We received a tip from a Bespoke reader that a restaurant called Silvana will be opening on the south side of 116th Street just west of FDB/8th Avenue.  A construction worker on the site mentioned that this was the location of the new eatery which is right across the street from the popular Harlem Tavern.  Reportedly the owners of Silvana previously opened Yatenga and Shrine further north on Adam Clayton Powell/7th Avenue.

There appears to be a trend of successful Harlem new businesses branching out uptown and these restaurant veterans have gotten the formula right.  Yatenga's French bistro ambiance and Shrine's cool, casual atmosphere are approachable and not overly fussy with being too modern so Silvana should be more of the same.
