REVIVE: LOW INCOME AT 1770 MADISON?
The site of 1770 Madison on the corner of 116th Street used to have a grand old building but was demolished a couple of years back. Now a new 8-story construction with 32 units and commercial space on the lower level has appeared almost overnight in the past few months. Permits show that name of the business owner has been listed as the Low Income Marketing Corp. so we just expect more of the same here. Based on the rendering posted on the shed out front, this brick structure will look similar to the ones that have popped up at his section of the neighborhood in the past decade. As for the original structure, someone with vision could have restored it and built higher on top to really make an interesting update but no such luck came about with this one: LINK
